For Dimaz Restivo, art stands at the border between materiality and the perception of the mysterious. His aesthetic mission is to represent this threshold with shapes and colours that touch human nature.
Graduated in Arts, Restivo developed abilities in academic drawing, oil painting, watercolour, gouache and acrylic. Although already consolidated professionally, the study is part of his daily life, who is always looking for new knowledge. This constant personal improvement produces a unique work, positioned between the contemporary and academic arts and according to the artist's own choice.
Technical and versatile, the artist has already ventured into the areas of illustration of children's books and for youth and in the drawing of humour. In this segment, he's awarded in Brazil and abroad.
In other fields, Restivo is still dedicated to music and the Performing Arts, a segment where he researches Masks and Contemporary Mime. Some of his theoretical influences on art come from studies on Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Rudolf Steiner, and Wassily Kandinsky.
The sources, application, perception and understanding of art generate alchemy visibly ascertained in the delicate and accurate work of the artist, who is constantly invited to exhibit his works in the United States and the European continent.
